The Art of Wearing Attar
How to Apply Attar
Pure oil-based attars are a world apart from alcohol-based perfumes. Understanding how to wear them unlocks their full depth, longevity, and soul.
Step by Step
The Perfect Application
Clean & Dry Skin
Apply attar on freshly cleansed skin. The warmth of clean skin helps activate the fragrance notes beautifully and extends longevity.
Post-shower application works best
Pulse Points
Dab gently on pulse points โ inner wrists, behind the ears, neck hollow, and inner elbows. These warm areas diffuse the scent naturally.
Do not rub โ it breaks the molecular structure
Use the Stopper
Tip the bottle gently onto your fingertip or directly onto skin using the glass applicator/stopper. A little goes a long way with pure attars.
1โ2 small dabs are sufficient for all-day wear
Let It Settle
Allow the attar to absorb into your skin for a minute or two before dressing. This prevents transfer onto clothing and allows the top notes to bloom.
Avoid rubbing or blotting
Layer for Depth
For a richer experience, layer attar over unscented body lotion or use bakhoor as a base. The fragrance will cling longer and project beautifully.
Moisturized skin holds scent up to 3x longer
Storage & Care
Keep your attar away from sunlight, heat and humidity. Store upright with the cap tightly sealed to preserve the integrity of the fragrance for years.
A cool, dark shelf is ideal
